I am a Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist and combine EMDR with Internal Family Systems (IFS) or “parts work”. While my training over the past twenty-plus years has covered multiple protocols, I have found EMDR and IFS especially healing, both professionally and personally.

I get this question a lot. I am a psychotherapist who is a Christian. A large number of my clients are Christians who want to incorporate their faith into the healing process. I’ve noticed this is especially powerful during memory processing. In other instances, I have worked with clients who have suffered spiritual trauma and want to heal from the injury using EMDR. While I approach my work from a Christian world view, I work with Christians and non-Christians alike.

I do not take insurance but provide clients with a receipt of payment for services that can be submitted to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.
-
In order to get traction, I recommend weekly sessions. If my initial assessment indicates someone is struggling with Major Depressive Disorder, I suggest we work together twice a week until their symptoms improve.

The intake is an hour and each subsequent session is 45-50 minutes long.

I see adult men and women for individual therapy. Periodically, I will offer groups.
